Dear Teachers and Students:
Good morning! Today, my topic under the National flag is "My Dream and the Chinese Dream".
Some time ago, a film entitled "Wolf warrior II" which many students have seen it already, has also impressed me. The leading actor LengFeng was trying to carry the refugees out of the country and rushed to the Chinese peacekeeping camp. On their way, they have met the local government forces and the rebels that were fighting fiercely. They must pass the war zone to reach the destination. Suddenly LengFeng stood up and held the national flag. Both forces have seen the Chinese flag and the commanders ordered to stop firing so they can pass through the war zone smoothly.
What made the episode more tearful and more exciting to the audience is that it gives us a sense of security and pride in the nation's prosperity. As most of us are likely to go abroad to study later, then now we can understand the importance of national prosperity to every citizen.
The prosperity of China is the Chinese dream, and the realization of the Chinese dream depends on everyone's dream. Mr. Liang Qichao once said: “If the youth are wise , society will be wise ; if the youth are rich ,society will be rich ; if the youth are strong ,society will be strong . Today , we can say : if the youth have a dream , society will have a dream.
My dear schoolmates: Do you have dreams? Have you worked hard for your dreams? Everyone has the same starting point, but the end is not the same. This is the result of your own choice. You can choose to muddle along without any aim, you can also choose to cherish time and grow to become someone great. But I hope we can think carefully when we make a choice. How do we spend our lives in the end? As it’s said in the how How the Steel Was Tempered “people's life should be spent in a way that when he looks back, he neither regret for wasting time, nor feel shameful because of laziness and mediocrity .”
To neither repent nor to be ashamed, we should strive unremittingly! If we were to be the sun, we would not be the moon; if we were to be the moon, we would not be stars! If the horse can gallop and the eagle can soar in the heaven and over the earth, then you should aim far-off your future. That being said, we teenagers should have great enthusiasm for life, determined to become what we want! We must raise heads up and stand tall proudly because we hold the future of our country. One day, when we go out of the country, we can just be like in the movie "Wolf warrior II" that proudly tell others that "We are Chinese!". We also hope that one day our motherland will be pround of us.
As students, we should establish our ambitions and an uplifting spirit. As once Yue Fei said: "Youth should not be wasted on the useless!". So, what are your dreams? I hope everyone has a definite answer in mind!
That’s all, thank you!
